Dolmabahce Palace is noted for the architecture of its exterior as well as its inner beauty. The Palace was commissioned by Abdülmecit I, the 31st sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Construction began in 1842 and took 12 years to complete.
The palace comprises administrative and harem sections. Your tour begins in the administrative area and then concludes in the harem section.
Topkapi Palace is next on the itinerary. Built in 1459, it served as the primary residence of the Ottoman sultans for nearly 4 centuries.
The Palace features several buildings and, among other exhibits, you’ll see a fine collection of Imperial and Ottoman objects, including treasuries, relics, caftans, and sultan portraits. There is also a harem section in Topkapi Palace.
