What to Expect

Take a 4-hour small group sightseeing tour of Istanbul and explore the city’s top Ottoman attractions, with a visit to Topkapi Palace, and Süleymaniye Mosque, as well as the less well-known Kuçuk Ayasofya Mosque in the Eminonu district.

Traveling by comfortable, air-conditioned minivan, tours are limited to a maximum 10 people to allow for a more intimate experience. Following a hotel pick-up, you will head for one of the city’s top attractions, the former imperial residence of Ottoman rulers at Topkapi Palace. Explore the exhibits and galleries, including the Imperial Treasury, sacred Islamic relics, Chinese porcelains, ancient weapons, and kitchens. Continue to Süleymaniye Mosque, the largest mosque in Istanbul, and a masterpiece of Sinan, chief architect of the Ottoman Empire. Built during 16th-Century, in the name of Süleyman The Magnificent, the mosque dominates the 3rd hill of Istanbul, and is studded with domes, semi-domes, and elegant arches.

You will also visit the less well known Kuçuk Ayasofya Mosque, located between Cankurtaran and Kadırga neighborhoods in the Eminonu district. Also known as the Little Hagia Sophia, admire the mosque’s restored interior, complete with columns of verd antique and red Synnada marble.
