Overview
You’ll visit 2 continents on this full-day tour of Istanbul! Explore the Spice Market, take a cruise on the Bosphorus for views of the magnificent palaces and mosques on both the European and Asian sides, and take in the stunning views from Çamlıca Hill.
What to Expect
Your full-day excursion begins with a visit to Istanbul’s Spice Market, which is also known as the Egyptian Bazaar. Browse the market and see the spices, desserts, and souvenirs on offer at over 100 shops.
After enjoying the fragrance of the market’s spices, you’ll head to the water for a 90-minute boat tour on the Bosphorus.
During the Bosphorus cruise you’ll be able to see both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul. Admire landmarks such as Dolmabahçe Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, and Küçüku Mosque. See the luxury wooden houses, known as yali, that were built along the Bosphorus.
After the cruise you’ll have a break for lunch with the opportunity to enjoy some delicious Turkish foods.
Continue on by car to the Asian side of Istanbul, crossing the Bosphorus bridge that was built in 1973. On the Asian side you’ll have the opportunity to take in the views of both sides of Istanbul from Çamlıca Hill.
Next you’ll head down to Beylerbeyi Palace, a 19th-century European-style Ottoman summer palace built by Sultan Abdülaziz. Note the combination of Baroque and Rococo styles.
